New students resident in continental Europe who experience financial difficulties during their studies or continuing students who have passed the last course they studied with the Open University may apply for assistance with payment of their fees.

Awards will be made taking account of student income and students must have made satisfactory progress in their studies. Awards can not be given to students with an outstanding debt from a previous year, or those who are studying towards a second Open University degree or are full time students at another institution.

Students must make a contribution of £100 toward the cost of fees and the maximum award is £900 per academic year. Funds are very limited and once the fund has been exhausted no furt
