Lithuanians at UK hotel ‘poisoned’ by polonium: Report 
VILNIUS Two Lithuanians who work at the London hotel where Russian ex-spy Alexander Litvinenko was poisoned are believed to have radiation contamination, officials and the media said here on Wednesday.
"The foreign ministry has been informed that raised levels of radioactivity have been detected in two Lithuanian citizens resident in Britain," the foreign ministry said in a statement. Although the latest suspected victims in the lengthening trail of radiation poisoning related to Litvinenko_s death have asked not to be identified, Lithuanian public radio said they worked at the London hotel where the ex-Russian spy met with three men on November 1, the day he fell fatally ill.
"The Lithuanian embassy has confirmed that it is helping two Lithuanians who work at the Millennium Hotel and who fear that they have been poisoned by radioactive polonium," the radio said.
The two voiced their fears after being examined by medical staff in Britain, Lithuanian officials said. 
According to the latest figures released by British health authorities, some 620 people have been sent for further investigation following initial assessment. The total number of people referred as a precaution to a specialist outpatient assessment clinic for possible radiological exposure assessment is 29.
A Russian contact of Litvinenko said that his health is improving following treatment for radioactive contamination.
Dmitry Kovtun, one of three Russians who met with Litvinenko at a London hotel on the day the former FSB agent became fatally ill, said he expected to be released from the Moscow clinic where he is being treated within 10 days.
"The doctors say that the situation has stabilised and that my health is recovering. I expect to be in hospital for between a week and 10 days," he told Russia_s Channel One television station.
Kovtun told German television programme Spiegel TV on Tuesday that the radioactive element polonium-210 in his system was likely ingested during his meeting with Litvinenko on November 1.  Kovtun_s claim conflicts with reports by British police investigating Litvinenko_s death who reportedly found no radiation on a bus ticket used by Litvinenko on the way to the hotel, and believe he was not contaminated before the meeting.
In another development, the International Atomic Energy Agency said it is reviewing its current classification of polonium-210, the Financial Times reported.A spokesman for the IAEA told the newspaper that, in light of Litvinenko_s death in London on November 23, it was "definitely something we need to look at again."
The IAEA presently lists polonium-210 in category four in its five-category classification system of radioactive sources, where category one is the most dangerous. Polonium-210 is listed as "unlikely to be dangerous".
"One can assume that there are people with less than generous intentions who have already discerned the impact of this small nuclear event," an unidentified diplomat in Vienna was quoted by the FT as saying.
